New ink

It’s official. I am addicted to tattoos! Since I got my first tattoo earlier this year, I have not stopped thinking about getting another one. D shares my love of tattoos so we decided to get one together.

D getting the outline done by Rachel (who has her ‘concentrating face’ (as she calls it) on). Ouch.

This is Elly (as I like to call her) after it was all finished. She also has two elephant friends on the other arm who have been there for a few years– Stampy and Stampy Jr.

The stencil just after Rachel transferred it on to my shoulder.

And the final product! The dandelion seeds continue over my shoulder and across my back. Yay!

Klei

Klei is a Melbourne designer of yummy jewellery and other pretty pieces that make me weak at the knees. Designers Barbara van Oost & Ben Paola described the look well on their blog:

The Klei aesthethic is defined by a muted palette and organic forms. We are drawn to colours that look like they were once vivid but years of exposure have left them subdued and washed out. This also applies to their forms that are void of harsh angles and strong surface detail.

I was lucky enough to receive a Klei necklace for my birthday (yay!) and it has quickly become a wardrobe staple.
